I recently experienced shopping and eating in a brick-and-mortar food co-op, bringing to life the concept in exciting ways.

Since Musikfest will be in full swing on Monday, August 5th (when we usually have our public meetings), we decided to join the party and gather there in lieu of a regular meeting.

Our grant writing team has been hard at work writing an application for the Food Co-Op Initiative Seed Grant, which requires us to raise dollar-for-dollar matching funds.

Now that our membership drive has started, the board put together this chart of membership milestones so you can all see how we are progressing towards our goal of a full-service grocery store!

When I first arrived to the Membership Drive Kickoff Picnic at Monocacy Creek Park I found that I was one of the early arrivals.  There was small chit chat and a slow organization of the picnic area began.  Someone said, "Water is over there", "dessert items over there", "please label your food items", and Joe said, "I have beer".
