We all co-own this store, so we get to decide what will be in it.
The BFC Sourcing Committee will be hosting forums to discuss what will be sold in our store and we need member input. This will be the beginning of our community coming together to take ownership of co-op decisions.
Discussion will include:
Our current purchasing patterns
What local producers we want to purchase from
What local products are available, and what we’ll source elsewhere
Likes and dislikes of other grocery stores
Input from grocery employees
Please spend a little time beforehand familiarizing yourself with how and what you typically purchase: fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, etc.; where you usually shop and how often; what improvements can be made in your current system; and how can the co-op help.
