Explore foodways through writing, while being introduced to various types of food writing including non-fiction essays, reviews, and histories, fictional short stories, and poetry. Site visits and talks from people in our local foodscape serve as inspiration for writing projects. Each week explore a certain theme, using that theme as an entry point for writing about food. The course will include in-class workshops, out-of-class readings, local site visits, and tastings.
