Pat Corpora

1. Why are you running for the board, and what skill sets do you bring to the table?

I’d like to join the board of the Co-Op to help it achieve its goal of opening a store in Bethlehem. I believe I offer valuable business skills that will be valuable to the organization—35 years of hands on direct to consumer marketing experience, 20 years of business leadership experience as a President and CEO and 10 years of consulting experience on business and marketing strategy. You can see my bio on LinkedIn.

2. What do you believe is the value of cooperative enterprise in today’s economy?

I think the value of having a cooperative enterprise is twofold, (1) establishing a resource where neighbors have access to fresh, quality food at competitive prices and (2) establishing a shared community interest in supporting the success of the Co-Op. Giving people an asset while asking them to support it is more common than ever in today’s economy.

3. What aisle can we expect to see you shopping in when our co-op opens?

Definitely the produce aisle as I worked in a store produce department through parts of high school and college.  Secondly, grains and flours for bread baking.
