It was brought to our attention that a state Redevelopment Capital Assistance Program grant application was submitted naming the Bethlehem Food Co-Op as an anchor site in a major development project.

The Bethlehem Food Co-Op has not committed to any site at this time. The Bethlehem Food Co-Op board of directors was not aware that this application was being submitted, nor that the Co-Op would be named in any way and did not authorize inclusion in the application.

We have contacted the news outlet that reported the information to request a correction and will be taking other steps as deemed appropriate to correct the information.

(Please note that the RACP application we are referring to differs from the federal Community Development Block Grant grant application for which the Co-Op recently applied for with the City of Bethlehem).
