3 Questions with Domaci

The Bethlehem Food Co-op is excited to host its August Mixer at the new Domaci Home store located on Main Street in downtown Bethlehem. Join us for this free event on Sunday, August 21 from 1-3pm.

Derrick ClarkEnjoy complimentary mango margaritas and hors d’oeuvres while you shop. The first five new members to join during the event receive either a Bam Jam all natural powerless speaker, or a Beth*lum tote bag.

We asked co-owner Derrick Clark the following three questions for this month’s interview:

1. Tell us about your new store in downtown Bethlehem. When did it open and what does it sell? What inspired you to open it?

The Domaci website was launched in November 2015, followed by the brick and mortar location on Main St. on May 7 of this year. We wanted to disprove the common misconception that eco-friendly furniture cannot be both beautiful and affordable, while at the same time bringing more retail variety to downtown Bethlehem.

2. Why did you want to host an event for the Bethlehem Food Co-op?

We're proud members of the Bethlehem Food Co-op, and we want to do whatever small part we can to ensure that this initiative is successful. We see a huge need for this store in our downtown area, and the Co-op's mission really works hand-in-hand with our own commitment to sustainability.

3. What are you most looking forward to buying at our community-owned grocery store when it opens?

Fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables.
